We are a privately owned whole-body donation program with a specific purpose of fulfilling a unique academic need in the Pacific Northwest.  Our program is engaged in the practice of preparing human remains for curriculum-based, cadaveric use in a classroom setting only.

What You May Expect

Educational Body Donation works with Funeral Service Establishments in Portland, Oregon and the outlying areas.  Should a potential donor be approved through our assessment at the time of death, Educational Body Donation will arrange to transport the donor into our care.  The providing Funeral Service Establishment will continue to work with a donor's family to file a death certificate and provide additionally requested services.  Educational Body Donation will require a completed Cremation Authorization form, and will make the final cremation arrangements based on this completed form.  All cremation services for Educational Body Donation will be completed by Cascade Cremation Center.  The cremated remains will generally be returned to a donor's family within 24 months from the time of donation.
